Cinzia |
Owner and operator, Cinzia has gone to the dogs after 15 years in Public
Health! It was a rescue German Shepherd named Jenna that opened the way
for Cinzia to owning and operating a doggie daycare. “After owning dogs
for many years and volunteering at the Oregon Humane Society, I realized
I wanted to spend the rest of my working years in the company of dogs.
Dogs are great creatures and they make me happy!” |

“I
worked my way through high school and college with freelance pet sitting. I was
trained to work doggie day care by a dog trainer. The best part of this job is
getting to know each dog as an individual and discovering their personal
reinforces and sensitivities. Dogs are naturally excellent problem solvers and I
enjoy watching this process in action. Having no dog of my own (as of yet), I am
also grateful for all the four-legged affection I am given at Dog Gone Happy.
Eventually, I would like to return to school for my Masters in Research
Psychology and train primates.”

"When I first moved to Portland, I knew that I wanted
to continue working with and learning about dogs. I searched far and wide
for a dog day care to work at, but those I saw were not places that I would
leave my own dog. Then I found Dog Gone Happy! I am very thankful to be
able to work in such a positive environment, where dogs are respected as
individuals. My favorite part of the job has been learning about and
practicing The Third Way training method. I am looking forward to interning
with the trainer here, and continuing to learn more about dog behavior from
all of our doggy clients."
